The Marine Journalists’ Network (MJN) is a non-profit platform of Bangladeshi reporters from various media outlets who are dedicated to covering issues related to the marine environment, biodiversity, sustainable use of marine resources, ports, shipping, tourism, and fisheries.
Founded in 2015, MJN aims to strengthen journalism on marine and blue economy issues that often receive limited attention in national media. The network supports its members through training programmes, field trips, research initiatives, seminars, policy dialogues, and advocacy campaigns in collaboration with both government and non-government organizations.
With the vision of generating knowledge, building capacity, and connecting academia with communities, MJN works to promote responsible reporting and informed public discourse on Bangladesh’s marine and coastal ecosystems.
